Nuestra Historia

In the heart of Granada's Alcaicería, where the scent of sandalwood and spices still dances in the fresh air, a sanctuary for intellect and leisure was born over a century ago.

La Casa de los Juegos was not conceived merely as a shop, but as a bridge between civilizations, carved in walnut wood and marked by the passage of time. Every board, every piece, every card that crossed our threshold was treated as a sacred artifact.

For three generations, the Valdivia family guarded the secrets of ancient games. From Egyptian Senet to the intricate puzzles of the Qing dynasty, the workshop in the back room witnessed the constant creak of gouges and the meticulous polishing of bone dice.

Don Aurelio's Retirement

After fifty years of uninterrupted service, Don Aurelio Valdivia III decided that his wise but tired hands needed rest. The closure of the physical shop in 2023 marked the end of an era for Granada, but not for the spirit of the brand.

"A game doesn't end when the box is closed", always said, "it is only saved for the next session".

The transition to the digital world was our most challenging move. We weren't looking to become a faceless corporation, but rather a Digital Archive. Every pixel of this new home has been designed with the same reverence with which Aurelio carved a boxwood bishop.
